GARY | Louise Lee will present her annual historical musical production "African-Americans Achieving in the Performing Arts" at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Glen Theater, 20 W. Ridge Road.

The presentation is in recognition of Black History Month and in support of African-American Achievers Youth Corps. Inc. and Brothers Keeper.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Purchase tickets at Beautiful Things in the Village Shopping Mall or by calling (219) 883-3907 or (219) 887-2046.

Brothers Keeper in a shelter for homeless men at 2020 Broadway in Gary. The African-American Achievers is a mentoring group for boys.

Educators and parents interested in referring or enrolling male students should contact Board Chairman Vernon Smith.

The program is open to African-America boys in grades six through 12.
