GARY | A Gary man was wounded Saturday after a vehicle pulled up next to his and someone began shooting at him, police said.
Michael Edwards, 33, was grazed by a bullet on his chin during the shooting, Gary police Lt. Delmar Stout said. He was treated and released at Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus in Gary.
Edwards and his brother, Charles Edwards, were driving in a blue 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck on 19th Avenue and were turning on Grant Street when a small vehicle pulled up next to theirs and someone began shooting at them, Stout said.
Michael Edwards told police he doesn't know who the driver was in the other vehicle and doesn't have any ongoing problems with anyone.
Charles Edwards told police he didn't see the vehicle pull up because he was rolling a marijuana joint, Stout said.
