According to Gary police spokeswoman Cpl. Gabrielle King, 17-year-old Johnte Crawford and 16-year-old Donnell Wilson were each charged Wednesday with two counts of murder and one count of robbery.
The two stand accused of gunning down brothers Shaqwone Ham, 19, and Charles Wood, 18, who were found with gunshot wounds 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of 13th Avenue. Ham, who had been shot in the chest and buttocks, was pronounced dead at the scene. Wood, who had been shot in the head, was removed from life support the following day.
