GARY | Author and speaker Storm Cunningham will visit Northwest Indiana this weekend as part of a two-day seminar to inspire residents to begin community development projects.
Cunningham is speaking at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary on Friday and Saturday. Cunningham, CEO of ReCitizen, will promote his online tools for building community engagement and will talk about how residents working on small projects could yield large benefits for an area. Anthony Broadnax, founder and president of Broadnax Enterprises, organized the event.
Cunningham will give a keynote address from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and he will host a workshop for people interested in leading community improvement projects from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Friday's event costs $30 and is targeting region political and community leaders and residents to attend. Admission on Saturday is $20.
