GARY | A Louisville man was arrested in Kentucky last week and is accused of stealing $12 million worth of LG smartphones from Gary, police said. 

Juan Perez Gonzalez, of Louisville, was charged with receiving stolen property worth more than $10,000, leaving the scene of an accident and theft by unlawfully taking more than $1 million, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police. 

State police said the FBI contacted their department Oct. 25th about the large cargo theft of LG smartphones from the Gary area, according to the release. 

The cargo was later found in Louisville and Perez Gonzalez was arrested.
