GARY | A 34-year-old man was arrested Monday after police said he shot a friend’s tire during an argument in the area of 29th Avenue and Gerry Street.
According to reports, the incident occurred about 1:25 a.m., when the victim and his friend, identified as Danny Baker, got into an argument while riding in Baker’s vehicle.
Baker reportedly ordered the victim out of the vehicle, at which point the man began walking to Baker’s residence to retrieve his vehicle.
As the victim got to Baker’s house, Baker allegedly pulled out a gun and fired it into the air. Police said the victim got inside his vehicle, and Baker fired his gun and struck a tire.
Baker was arrested and charged with criminal recklessness, pointing a loaded firearm and intimidation.
