GARY | In recognition of Black History Month, Indiana University Northwest has planned a series of events.
A gospel music concert with Fred Hammond is at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at the West Side Theatre Guild. The concert is a collaboration between IUN and Mark Spencer, an IUN alumnus and founder and creative director of the Theatre Guild.
Hammond has been on the contemporary Christian music scene since the 1980s, when he started with the musical group Commissioned, and later launched his solo career with his touring choir, Radical for Christ.
Tickets are $25 and available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the West Side Theatre box office, 900 Gerry St., Gary.
