GARY | The Gary Chamber of Commerce has joined with education and workforce development professionals from around Northwest Indiana to present “Education is the Driver for Economic Development” on Saturday Oct. 5 at the Gary Area Career Center.
This is the second in an ongoing series of seminars hosted by the Gary Chamber. “Education is the Driver for Economic Development” will focus on the many opportunities available for parents, students and recent graduates who are looking to put their education to work. This event will feature experts from Indiana University Northwest, WorkOne, Gary Community School Corp., The Reality Store and more. Discussions will range from strategies and resources for troubled students to details on in-demand jobs and the expectations of area employers.
Highlighting the event is the Community Champions Panel, a roundtable discussion featuring:

“Education is the Driver for Economic Development” will take place Oct. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Gary Area Career Center, 1800 E. 35th Ave, Gary, Indiana. Admission is free, and a continental breakfast will be served.
