GARY | The Gary Common Council is accepting applications for four commissions on which it has vacancies.
There is a Republican opening on the Fire Civil Service Commission, and openings on the Redevelopment Commission, South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and Police Civil Service Commission.
Applicants must be Gary residents, registered voters in Gary and meet the "good character" requirements set by Indiana law.
Applicants should submit a resume and letter of intent for the board of interest to Councilwoman Kimberly Robinson, chairwoman of boards and commissions, at the Gary City Council Office, 401 Broadway, Suite 103A, Gary, IN 46402.
