GARY | Authorities are investigating a weeekend homicide that has left a local man dead.
The Lake County coroner's office was called at 10:45 p.m. Friday to the 1600 block of West 5th Avenue where investigators found Brandon Dempsey, 25, of the 500 block of Buchanan St., Gary, dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
A spokesman for the Gary Police Department couldn't be reached early Saturday for comment.
