GARY | Police arrested a 46-year-old Gary man and a 35-year-old Gary woman for resisting law enforcement and other charges after the woman allegedly hung up on 911.

Officers went about 5 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 3600 block of Polk Street where someone had called 911 and hung up, Cpl. Gabrielle King said. Police forced their way into the home after hearing a man say, "So you called the police on me, huh?" in an aggressive manner, King said.

Talana Moore let officers search the home but said there wasn't anyone else at home, King said. Officers found Dwayne Brooks hiding behind the furnace in the basement.

Brooks was arrested for resisting law enforcement after refusing to come out from behind the furnace, King said. Moore was arrested for resisting law enforcement, interfering with law enforcement and false reporting, King said.
