Gary mayor's State of the City address to be streamed live

GARY | Residents will be able to watch Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson as she gives the State of the City address today through an online stream on the city's website, officials said.

Freeman-Wilson will give the address to a sold-out crowd of about 750 people at the Genesis Center at 11:30 a.m., according to a news release.

Tickets to the speech were sold for $25 per person, part of which was designated to bring young residents and seniors to the event, a release states.

The speech will be streamed online at www.gary.in.us and will also be broadcast on FM 88.7.
