GARY | In collaboration with Gary and NIPSCO, the Gary Community School Corp. is providing additional cooling centers to support Gary families who have been affected by power outages.

There will be cold water available at each site.

The following locations have been designated as community cooling centers:

• Genesis Convention Center, Fifth Avenue and Broadway, will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

• Williams Elementary School, 1320 E. 19th Ave., is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

• McCullough Girls Academy, 3757 w. 21st Ave., is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Gary residents who need to report fallen trees and other storm emergencies are encouraged to call (219) 881-1311.
