GARY | Gary police are investigating the battery of a 26-year-old woman which included a sexual assault and strangulation in her home.
Police did not have many details in the case. According to the police blotter, the incident was reported at 6:06 a.m. Saturday.
The woman, who lives on Gary's west side, told police that someone battered her, strangled her and sexually assaulted her. It is not clear if the suspect is someone the woman knew. The case remains under investigation.
