GARY | A 17-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday and is accused of firing shots at a Gary man, according to an affidavit.
Lorenzo D. Campbell is charged as an adult with attempted murder, attempted battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness.
Campbell is accused of firing three to four shots Jan. 26 at Devon Hudson, who was in a vehicle parked outside his house in the 4100 block of Madison Street in Gary. Witnesses told officers the shooting came days after two girls, including Hudson's sister, were arguing about Campbell on a school bus, according to the affidavit.
Hudson told officers that a vehicle stopped and a woman got out and said, "That's their older brother," according to the affidavit. Campbell leaned out of the passenger side and began firing shots at him, according to the affidavit.
Gary police Cpl. Gabrielle King said no one was injured and no one else has been charged in the case.
