GARY | A man shot at two people who chased him after he stole a woman's wallet at a Gary gas station, police said.
Shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 64-year-old woman was walking out of a gas station in the 4600 block of West Fifth Avenue when a man grabbed the wallet from her hand and ran, Gary police Cpl. Gabrielle King said.
Two other people gave chase, but stopped after the man fired shots at them, King said. No one was hit.
A detailed description of the gunman was not available, police said.
