The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana and the McDonald's Operators of Northwest Indiana are coordinating to offer a Pantry on the Go program in the region.
Free food will be provided at mobile food pantries set up at various Northwest Indiana locations.
The first event takes place Monday at Village Park Enrichment Center at Banta, 605 Beech St. in Valparaiso.
Another mobile pantry is scheduled for April 1 at the Michigan City American Legion, 121 Skwiat Legion Ave.
Both events are open from 3 to 5 p.m. Residents must present valid proof of Indiana residency to obtain food.
