GARY | The Indiana Parenting Institute hosts a parenting fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the U.S. Steel Yard.
It includes games, giveaways and contests for parents and children. There are also community services providers available with information and help on how to access family resources in the region.
Additionally, question-and-answer stations will be set up for parents to talk with professionals to get answers to specific parenting issues such as bullying and youth violence, college readiness, job success and money.
Darryll King of the "King's Highway Morning Show" (WYCA 102.3 FM) will do a live remote broadcast and there will be performances by the Army of the Lord drill team and a Zumba presentation.
The fair is free and open to the public.
