Paula Cooper: Convicted of murder at 15, a Gary woman prepares for her 2013 release
The former Adams Street home where Ruth Pelke lived in May 1985 when four teenage girls attacked and killed her. One of the murderers, Paula Cooper, was 15 at the time and initially given a death penalty sentence. Her sentence was later commuted and she was given 60 years in prison. She is currently on target to get out of jail in about a year.
