GARY | Police are investigating the fatal shooting Friday of a Gary man at his home in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue in Gary.
Jerry Hood Jr., 48, died of multiple gunshot wounds in an apparent homicide, according to a release from the Lake County coroner's office.
Hood was pronounced dead at 1:05 p.m., the coroner's office said.
The shooting is being investigated by Gary police and the Lake County Sheriff's Department crime lab.
