Police seize 35 pounds of pot shipped to business in Gary

GARY | A crate that was sent to a business in the 4500 block of West Fifth Avenue last month was seized by police after 35 pounds of marijuana was discovered, according to reports.

The Gary Police Department received a call Feb. 28 about a crate that had arrived at the establishment via FedEx. On opening the crate, officers uncovered about 35 pounds of marijuana, police said.
