HAMMOND | The federal government announced indictments of several individuals on drug related charges this week.
Keith Cloudy, 37, of Gary, is charged with nine counts of distribution of crack cocaine and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Hammond. Unrelated, David Rowlett, 31, and Hudie Scott, 27, both of Gary, are charged with distribution of crack cocaine. These charges were filed as a result of an FBI GRIT Task Force investigations.
Gary’s Mario Stokes, 40, is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
In other indictments, Alejandro Murillo, 26, of Chicago, is charged with distribution of methamphetamine and eluding examination and inspection by immigration officers.
In a plea deal with Carmalita Stewart-Cannon, 47, of Gary, the federal government dropped a charge of distribution of heroin in exchange for her guilty plea to felony possession of a firearm, according to court records.
