GARY | Local police and firefighters will compete in a charity softball tournament to benefit Hoosier Burn Camp, a summer camp for children with burn injuries.

The first Guns and Hoses tournament starts at 8 a.m. Sunday at the U.S. Steel Yard in Gary. The championship game starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each.

There will be six teams competing.

The firefighter bracket consists of teams from Crown Point Fire Rescue, Merrillville Fire Department and a team made up of firefighters from south Lake County. In the police bracket are the Lake County Sheriff's Department, Gary Police Department and Chicago Metro teams. The Chicago Metro team has officers from Northwest Indiana and Illinois.
