GARY | A taxi driver was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while picking up a fare in the 300 block of Jackson Street Wednesday night.
According to reports, the driver picked up a man and woman around 11:39 p.m. They got into the cab and the man pulled out a gun and ordered the driver to get out of the driver’s seat.
The woman reportedly got behind the wheel and drove to an unknown location where the two took the driver’s cellphone and other personal items.
The two suspects then left the scene in a 2005 White Dodge Caravan that had the lettering “24/7” on it, according to police.
