GARY | A 74-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were wounded Wednesday afternoon in what police are calling a drive-by shooting.
Gary Police spokeswoman Gabrielle King said the incident occurred in the 2200 block of West 17th Avenue.
No one was in custody as of Wednesday evening, according to police. Both victims were immediately taken to an area emergency room for treatment. The male victim reportedly has been released, while there was no update on the condition of the woman who was shot, according to King.
