GARY | Two women were held at gunpoint early Tuesday while a group of men robbed their residence in the 2500 block of Wabash Avenue, police said.

The women returned about about 4:15 a.m. and couldn't enter the home through the front door because it was locked, police said.

When they went to the rear entrance, they saw a man who pointed a handgun at them and ordered them inside their residence, olice said.

The women were forced into a bathroom as two more men came into the residence and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry, electronics and personal items.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call Gary police Detective Daryl Gordon at (219) 881-7300, ext. 3066.
