GARY | A 58-year-old man was robbed and pistol-whipped Monday night inside his home in the 1900 block of Central Drive, Gary police said.
The resident answered his door about 10:44 p.m. and was rushed by five men, police said. The men, who were wearing masks and carrying handguns, took an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry from the house.
The men hit the resident in the face with a handgun before leaving, police said. The resident was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
