GARY | A 26-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed Thursday night, police said.

The Lake County coroner's office identified the victim as Sam Lott, of the 5000 block of West 18th Avenue.

Officers found the man about 11:30 p.m. Thursday while responding to a call of a man down in the 1900 block of West Second Avenue, Gary police Cpl. Gabrielle King said.
