The Gary airport strategic plan released Thursday highlights charter flight and other low-frequency air traffic as important to economic survival. A key measure of success in these areas, the report states, is the number of aircraft based at an airport. The totals below do not reflect the total air traffic for each airport, only the number of permanent aircraft there in 2009 as estimated by the FAA.
