GRIFFITH | South Shore Dance Alliance will welcome Renaldo Gardner, an Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company member, who will teach a master class for intermediate/advanced level dancers from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 11 at the SSDA studios in the Franklin Center, 201 N. Griffith Blvd.
A Gary native, Gardner is also a former student at Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Gary and was a member of the original SSDA company.
The master class is open to intermediate and advanced level dancers and the class fee is $20. Reservations are recommended, and class spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Gardner will be performing with the Alvin Ailey company at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago from March 8 to 17 as the company continues its 2013 North American tour.
