INDIANAPOLIS | The Indiana Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld the murder conviction and 65-year prison term of Robert Davis, the Chicago man who shot and killed Parrish Myles at Griffith's Mansards Apartments on July 22, 2011.
Davis, 46, claimed in his appeal that faulty jury instructions, prosecutorial misconduct and a lack of evidence entitled him to a new trial or a shorter prison sentence.
The appeals court, in a 3-0 decision, disagreed.
The court noted Davis had only been out of prison four years after his conviction for a 1984 Cook County murder when he shot Myles, 38, in broad daylight while one of Myles' children watched.
