GRIFFITH | A benefit for Becky Gragido Darnell is planned Sunday.
Darnell, a 1977 Griffith High School graduate and longtime Griffith resident, had an accident leaving her with severe spinal cord injuries resulting in paralysis.
She had been a waitress at Stan's Restaurant in Griffith, and more recently a waitress with The Town Club restaurant in Highland.
The fundraiser will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Church's Hildebrandt Hall, 525 N. Lafayette St., Griffith. Tickets are $10 and include a spaghetti dinner. There will be a 50-50 raffle and basket auction. All proceeds will assist Darnell in her recovery process.
