Heidelberg University freshman Christy Anzur was appointed in September to the Dean’s Student Advisory Board by Dean Haseeb Ahmed, recognizing her academic success.
A Griffith resident, Anzur is studying business administration with a minor in sports management at the Ohio school.
“The Dean’s Student Advisory Board provides a forum for continuous improvement of strategic direction, offerings, programs, and student-centered learning experiences in the School of Business,” Anzur said.
“We serve as a liaison between the student body and administration, providing student perspectives and communicating student ideas on the enhancement and enrichment of the educational and social experience of business students.”
Anzur is one of 22 students who have excelled in the School of Business to be chosen for the board, and was surprised to be appointed as a new student.
“I am very honored that Dr. Ahmed and the Business School Staff chose for me to be a part of this elite group as a freshman,” she said.
“I hope that I can improve how administration and the student body work together and help the School of Business bring in more perspective students to the School of Business and Heidelberg.”
The daughter of Tony and Lori Anzur, she is a member of the varsity soccer and golf teams at Heidelberg.
