GRIFFITH | St. Mary School recently held an installation of Student Council officers and representatives at the All-School Mass at St. Mary Church. The student council has raised money in the past for La Rabida Hospital, the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana and Griffith Emergency Fund, adopted families at Christmas through the St. Mary Angel Tree program, sponsored food drives for needy families in the area and raised funds for Camp Quality for children who have cancer.
Officers are President Danielle Tazic, Vice President Taylor McLaurin, Secretary Megan Sullivan and Treasurer Liliana Mendez. Grade level representatives are: Arianna Daker, Taylor Haney, Felicity Miranda, Alexis Fortuna, Joseph Tellez, Erica Ward, Sam Pizzuto, Luke Fuehrmeyer, Abigail Damacio, Kaitlyn Moore, Abigail Begeske, Juan Maldonado, Johvana Maldonado, Isabelli Damacio, Jake Fuehrmeyer, Lilyana Maldonado, Kylie McDermott, Riley Reid, Emma Short and Karina Bonilla.
