GRIFFITH | The Town Council on Thursday reappointed several incumbents to various boards and commissions.
All of the members' terms were set to expire Jan. 1.
On the Board of Zoning Appeals, Eddie Gonzalez and John Mowery were given fresh four-year terms.
Toby Hobson got a new four-year term on the Economic Development Commission, and Helen Toweson was returned to the Emergency Medical Service Board for another three years.
The Park Board will have Rob Bubala for another four years, and RoAnn Purgert will return to the Safety Board for another three years.
All five seats on the Redevelopment Commission are appointed on an annual basis.
Incumbent Don Wiltfong was reappointed, and the others will be under consideration, board members said. That includes the seat held by Tony Gonzalez, who died last month.
The council will vote for two of the seats, and the other three will be executive appointments by next year's Town Council president.
The Plan Commission's seven members are not up for reappointment for their four-year terms this year.
Two members of the three-seat Sanitary Board are still in their four-year terms, but there is one open seat to be filled.
The council still has to vote on a resolution to transfer various funds into their proper categories to close out the 2012 financial books. This must be done before Jan.1, so the council will meet again at 4 p.m. Monday.
