GRIFFITH | The School Board has welcomed two new members and selected its officers for the new year.
Taking their seats for the first time were Jennifer Dildine and Gerald Potacki, who were elected in November.
"I just want to congratulate everybody and welcome them," School Superintendent Peter Morikis said.
After they were sworn in by board attorney Rhett Tauber, the new board elected its officers for 2013.
Moving into the president's chair was John Dudlicek, while the first and second vice president seats were filled by Raymond White Jr. and Rich Muha, respectively.
Dildine is the board secretary and Potacki is the assistant secretary.
Tauber was retained as board attorney, and Jeannette Bapst returns as the school system's treasurer.
The board also made various committee assignments with White serving on the Special Education Board. Potacki will be his alternate.
Muha will return to the Park Board, and Dudlicek will be the board's liaison to the state Legislature.
Potacki will sit on the Griffith Redevelopment Commission and Dudlicek and Dildine form the teacher contract negotiation team.
