MERRILLVILLE | Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana is looking for additional volunteer drivers.
Each day volunteers assist in the delivery of more than 1,600 meals throughout Lake County.
Volunteer delivery people drive their own vehicles and deliver meals during the lunch hour. Each delivery run requires about 90 minutes.
The flexible monthly scheduling and routes are within the volunteer's own community.
Volunteers are needed throughout Lake County but especially in Griffith and Highland.
Interested and prospective volunteers may attend a volunteer orientation and training session at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12 or 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Meals on Wheels conference room, 8446 Virginia St., Merrillville.
