The Griffith, Munster and Highland police departments participated in a violence reduction initiative on Friday along Ridge Road between Colfax and Cline avenues.
They made a total of 48 traffic shops, issuing 14 citations, 35 warnings and four arrests, three for narcotics, one for traffic.
Police said the narcotics investigations will be further reviewed/investigated in an attempt to identify the source of the narcotics.
The initiative was funded through a federal grant.
