HAMMOND | A man intends to plead guilty Thursday in federal court to bank robberies in Munster and South Bend.

A plea agreement was entered Friday on behalf of Beaver Bernard Russell.

Russell allegedly robbed Fifth Third Bank, 8007 Calumet Ave., Munster, on Jan. 12, 2012, and is also charged in the robbery of a Mutual Bank branch in South Bend.

The change of plea hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. before U.S. District Court Judge Rudy Lozano.
