HAMMOND | Continuing its strong financial literacy partnership, Centier Bank made its seventh annual Money Smart Week presentations to Hammond Adult Education students this spring.

The topic was Charge It Right – How to Make Credit Cards Work FOR You, and was offered in both English and Spanish and duplicated in the morning and evening.

“The presentation was very informative. It is always beneficial when our students in the Hammond Adult Education program can learn more about financial responsibility,” said Jill Hammel, GED Instructor for the School City of Hammond/Adult Education.

The four Centier presentors were Daniela Castelan, Customer Service representative at Centier's Whiting Branch; Beverly Strickland, assistant branch manager in Hammond; Olga Papp, branch manager in Whiting; and Miriam Ojeda, Client Service Center representative in Merrillville.
