HAMMOND | Graduates and friends of Hammond’s public high schools are invited to attend a Meet & Greet event Tuesday of the recently-organized Alumni & Friends of Hammond Schools.
The free event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the School City of Hammond administrative offices, 41 Williams St.
It includes food, fellowship and an update by Jerry Watkins, district superintendent. Guests also will learn more about Alumni & Friends of Hammond Schools and its plans for supporting successful education.
The organization plans social and fundraising events, outreach activities that benefit students and schools, and an annual Success Day at each School City of Hammond high school. Additionally, the organization seeks to be a liaison to class reunion committees.
