HAMMOND | Bishop Dale J. Melczek of the Diocese of Gary joined several administrators, faculty, alumni and friends recently at Bishop Noll Institute for a reception and special blessing of its recently renovated auditorium.
The 500-plus-seat auditorium, which is nearly 50 years old, has been restored into a more modern facility, with new seating, carpet, tile, fresh paint, handicap accessibility, and stage upgrades.
Bishop Noll Institute has had a long history of successful theater productions, band and choir concerts spanning 90 years. The restored auditorium will allow current students to continue to showcase their successful arts programs.
Fundraising efforts took place over the past year, and the facelift of the facility took place throughout July and August.
