HAMMOND | There will be a joyful noise this weekend as Bishop Noll Institute's band and choral programs showcase their talents at the school's annual BNI Christmas Concert. The concert will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Bishop Noll Institute auditorium, 1519 Hoffman St.

Admission is free.

The choir and band will perform a wide range of musical selections, including both religious numbers and popular holiday songs. The concert will conclude with a traditional Christmas carol sing-a-long.

The concert is a celebration of Bishop Noll's growing Fine Arts program, and will offer a genuine experience of the spirit of Christmas through music.

The BNI Band also will be hosting a spaghetti dinner before the concert from 3:30 to 5 p.m. to raise funds for new band equipment. Cost for dinner is $7.

Though the concert is free, band members are inviting concertgoers to donate canned goods, blankets and clothing. Those items will be collected for the victims of last month's tornadoes.
