HAMMOND | The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana will be continuing with its Second Saturday Family Science Program on April 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees may participate in the family mini mission package, which includes a laser light show and a planetarium show for $15 per person.
Beginning with the mini mission, families will work together to restore communications with the Curiosity Rover on Mars. Once the mission is complete, a planetarium show will explore the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun with the help of Coyote, an amusing character adapted from Native American oral traditions who has many misconceptions about our home planet and its most familiar neighbors.
After the planetarium show, a laser light show, iPop Laser, will feature light art set to the music from popular artists like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas and more.
Attendees may also purchase tickets to see just the laser show or planetarium show for $5 for adults or $3 for children. A special package including both shows is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
Individual planetarium shows begin at 3:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Individual laser shows begin at 3:55 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
