HAMMOND | The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana will begin offering educational events and activities for families the second Saturday of every month. The program, called Second Saturday Family Science Programs, will begin on Saturday, October 13, from 1-3 p.m.

The first event will be Mystery on Mars. This family-fun package of activities includes Black Holes Planetarium Show, a Mars mini mission and the Fright Light laser show. Cost is $15 per person, ages 7 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult and reservations are required.

Individual activities can be purchased as well. The planetarium show will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the laser show will begin at 4:15 p.m. Each activity is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
