HAMMOND | The John Dillinger Museum is participating in Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day Live! event, which means free admission to the museum on Saturday.

The museum, inside the Indiana Welcome Center, takes visitors on an interactive, historical adventure through the life and times of Dillinger and other gangsters of the 1930s Depression era.

Tickets for the Museum Day Live! are available for download at www.smithsonian.com/museumday and will be accepted from smartphones. The Indiana Welcome Center will not limit the amount of tickets used per household.

Visitors who are unable to print the Museum Day Live! tickets will still be granted free admission.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week at 7770 Corrine Drive, Hammond.
