HAMMOND | The eighth annual Beatles Fest is set for Aug. 10 in downtown Hammond.

There will be several outdoor musical acts from 4 to 11 p.m., including Nomad Planets, Rising Dawn, Josh McCormack, The Beatles Bluegrass Band featuring The Lonesome Organist, Rhythm Scholar, the Paul Henry’s Art Gallery Jam Band and a headline performance by Beatles tribute band Beatolution.

The event is for all ages and will be presented by The Blue Room Cafe and Vezmar Media Group.

Beatles merchandise will be sold at the festival. There also will be food tents, raffles, a Beatles-themed magic show and Beatles movies projected on the sides of buildings. There will be a beer and margarita garden featuring draft imports, domestics, margaritas and more.

Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under, $10 for regular adult admission and $25 for general VIP admission, which will grant access to seating in front of the stage. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Lake Area United Way.
