HAMMOND | Gavit High School will host a fundraiser to support those affected by the Connecticut shooting tragedy on Jan. 10.

Students will donate money to wear green shirts to school. Proceeds will go to the United Way Sandy Hook Support Fund.

Green is the color of Sandy Hook Elementary School where the shootings occurred.
