HAMMOND | Hammond police released a photo Wednesday of a man wanted for questioning in the armed robbery of Super Gas on Columbia Avenue.

The robbery occurred on March 31 at the gas station, 7507 Columbia Ave.

The suspect is described as a man in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a dark jacket and red-hooded sweatshirt and approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The suspect fled the gas station with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Hammond police Detective Sgt. John Suarez.

The weapon was described as a black automatic handgun, according to Suarez.
