HAMMOND | A federal judge sentenced a Hammond man Friday to 10 years in prison following allegations he took pornographic photos and video of underage females without their knowledge.
The sentencing for Steven E. Lewis followed his December 2011 guilty plea to one count of possessing child pornography.
Investigators previously seized three computers from Lewis' home in the 7500 block of Jefferson Avenue after three juvenile females reported to police they believed he had taken inappropriate photos of two of them without their knowledge.
Police said the girls described Lewis as a friend of their families and said they often spent time at his house hanging out.
Authorities said on one of the the laptop computers, investigators found photographs in which one of the juveniles was asleep with her shirt pulled up. Photos of Lewis with that same teen's underwear in his mouth as well as on his genitals were recovered from a camera, according to a criminal complaint.
